Overview Requirements for Home Page (Headline)

  • Written in 2 or 3rd Person.
    Remember, first person is from the writers point of view and uses pronouns such as “I”: I saw U2 at the Rose Bowl.
    Second person is directed at the reader and uses pronouns such as “you”: You saw U2 at the Rose Bowl. Third person is told from an outside narrator point of view and uses pronouns such as “he,” “she,” and “it”: She saw U2 at the Rose Bowl.
  • Headline minimum between 3-10 words
  • Welcome paragraph minimum of 100 words
  • Answers 4 questions
  • Uses hyperlinks with meaningful title that open in a new window

The Home page needs to answer these 4 questions for users entering a new site for the first time. A user should be able to answer these questions at a glance with little effort.

1. What is this? Your Portfolio site

2. What do they have here? Mention specific project and where to find them on your site (Pages and Categories)

3. What can I do here? On posts users visiting site can Share, Comment, Like, Follow my Blog, Contact you, etc.

4. Why should I be here – and not somewhere else? Explain how your employable, and or your work ethic
